Capital of Children hosts the scholastic chess national finals

Place: Sports Hall, Lalandia Billund, Ellehammers Allé 3
Time: 10am - 3pm (with the option to enter the Lalandia Aquadome afterwards)
Hosted in the Capital of Children, the first-ever scholastic chess national finals promises to be a fantastic day of entertainment for all the family.
As well as five rounds of chess competition, team prizes and medals for all participants, there will be lunch, snacks and a special performance from X-Factor and Eurovision star, Mohamed Ali.
The day is open to all pupils from schools who participated in the Schools’ Chess Day (‘Skolernes skakdag’), from experts to beginners. Each school is free to send one or more teams of up to eight students, and each team will also receive free admission for two adults (parents or teachers) to help with transport.
When the finals have finished at 3pm, students and other participants are invited to visit Scandinavia’s biggest waterpark, Lalandia, for DKK110 per person. Tickets can be purchased on the site here.
The first edition of the scholastic chess national finals is organized by Capital of Children Company and the Danish Scholastic Chess Federation. Fans, family and friends are encouraged to attend, with tickets costing DKK100 per person, including food.
